My Story

Experienced Counselling Professional

Hi, my name is Becky.  I am a mother of three and a cancer survivor.  I have 26 years of experience working as a social worker. I specialize in helping adults and youth with depression, anxiety, ADHD, grief and adjustment disorders. I am level 2 certified in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) which is a proven, effective treatment that teaches you tools to use while facing life's challenges. CBT helps us to see how our thought patterns influence how we feel and, in turn, how we act. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree from University of Guelph with a specialization in Sociology and Family and Social Relations. I also have a Bachelor of Social Work degree from McMaster University and a Masters of Social Work degree from University of Windsor. I have extensive experience working in crisis intervention and brief solution focused therapy, narrative therapy and cognitive behaviour therapy.
