My Story
Experienced Counselling Professional
Welcome to my website, my name is Becky. With 27 years of experience in the field of social work, I specialize in supporting adults and youth with a variety of challenges including depression, anxiety, ADHD, grief and adjustment disorders. I am level 2 certified in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), an evidence-based approach that equips individuals with practical tools to manage life's difficulties. CBT helps clients recognize how thought patterns influence emotions and behaviours, helping them to make positive, lasting changes in their lives.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree with specializations in sociology and family and social relations from the University of Guelph, a Bachelor of Social Work degree from McMaster University, and a Masters of Social Work degree from the University of Windsor.
My professional background includes extensive experience in crisis intervention, brief solution focused therapy, narrative therapy and cognitive behaviour therapy.
As a cancer survivor and mother of three, I bring a unique understanding of life's complexities and the resilience required to navigate its challenges. I am deeply committed to offering compassionate, client-centred support to help you address personal, family, mental health or work related issues guiding you toward healing and growth.

Land Acknowledgement
As we gather, we humbly acknowledge that Haldimand County sits on the ancestral land of many generations of Indigenous nations who have been here since time immemorial. Today this land continues to be home to many Indigenous peoples, including the Six Nations of the Grand River and the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, as well as non-Indigenous settlers from a variety of backgrounds. As a community, we have a shared responsibility for stewardship of the land on which we live and work. We are grateful for the opportunity to work together and to share the land we all call home. Acknowledging reminds us that our living conditions are directly related to the abundant resources of the Indigenous peoples. We commit to continue learning, reflecting on our past, and working in allyship with Indigenous communities, toward respective community goals and objectives, in peace, respect and friendship.
